If you are happy to have the light beam from your rear bicycle light point down into the road surface, then it is easy to attach your light to your seat post. Just follow the manufacturer’s instructions.
I wanted to have the light from my new rear bicycle light to point straight backwards, parallel to the road.
It turned out to be an easy task.

Requirements:
- A rear bicycle light. I use a Bravemen TR 350.
- A rubber door stop. I used an Adoored Black Medium Rubber Door Wedge.
- A sharp craft knife.
- Some wide rubber bands. I created some from an old 25mm bike tyre.
Start by trimming the rubber door wedge. I narrowed it by cutting off a slice parallel to the long side using my craft knife, and then cut a hole to match the protrusion on my bike light.

Use the wide rubber bands to attach the trimmed door wedge to the seat post.

The process of creating and attaching the new mount took just a few minutes.
